A Goodbye To A Great Job.

I want to share the main reason why I’ve stayed with this job for so long, and that is my co-workers.

The people behind the Webby Awards are hard-working, caring, and REAL. Most aren’t lucky to be put into such a great scenario with such a team, and I am thankful. The late-nights, the sound effects, the sonos playlist games, the snack challenges, the puppy. All meant the world to me over these past 3 years.

The photo above is from this years webby after-party. I have over 50 of these gems from the past 3 shows. Photos in which an entire staff of 20 some people cramming their drunken faces in front of a tiny camera, while a long line of guests wait to for their turn. But we didn’t care because we DESERVED THESE DRUNKEN PHOTOS. we worked our asses off for these photos.

Anyways, just know that the people behind The Webby Awards really are incredible and as the years go by and the internet becomes more of a reflection of our culture, know that the Webbys and its supreme staff are there to curate it all.

Yesterday I learned that a friend of mine has started dating a guy with blonde hair. Which really doesn’t make any sense to me, because her last boyfriend had brown hair. When I asked her why she doesn’t find any brunette guys attractive anymore, she told me she thinks either hair color can look good if it’s on the right person. What the fuck? I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’m totally cool with people being attracted to whichever hair color they want, but pick a side, you know? I think she’s probably just doing this for the attention, or maybe she’s going through a transitional period where she figures out what she really wants. But either way, it’s creeping me out. I wonder if she’s gonna try to have a three-way with a blonde and a brunette or something. I don’t know. She’s never struck me as promiscuous before, but I guess I didn’t know her as well as I thought I did.
